Great stay for Labor Day weekend to unwind and enjoy family. This park is a great place for wildlife watching and fishing as well. Very clean and overflowing with things to do or just sit back and relax. The views of the lake are awesome as well.
Stayed here twice on our trip, going and coming home. Nice clean campground. Only complaint we have is the same one we have about many FL state parks, gate closes way too early, sometimes as early as 5:30.
Would have loved to have gone here when the weather was nicer (cold and rainy during our stay), but we were parked right on the lake which was beautiful. Camping area is small and sites vary (size and shape) so make sure you can fit in your sites.
On the river across from Georgia, what a view. Large spots w/water/elec & dump-site. Store 20 minutes away. Nice for fishing & hiking :-)
Most all the sites are gravel but a few pads, close approximation to the lake a plus, clean bathrooms and showers, price was $16.50
This is a lovely spot. It's an ideal place after being on the road. The lake, the woods, the hiking trail, all comes together for a tranquil stay.
Per website: this park is CLOSED due to hurricane Michael. No date for reopening.
Lots of damage from Hurricane Michael. Roads are clear but damaged. Trails are covered in fallen timber. Gnats were horrible day and night. Nice view and friendly staff.
