Reviews for Three Springs Campground

| Very expensive for what you get

The best things I can say about this park is that the staff is friendly and it is quiet. We only stayed because it was raining and we did not want to drive on. First, to get to the park, you have to drive through a very run down area that made my wife ready to turn around. As far as the bathrooms, I was very happy that we did not have to use them. The utilities were on the wrong side of RV and I had to run my lines under the RV and barely made it. I could not even see the wi-fi and they offered to let me move closer, but did not want to set up again in rain and muck. Also could not get even one TV station on antenna and too many trees to use satellite. There are no sewer hook-ups and the charge was $36 minus GS or senior discount of 10%. Would not camp there again.

| A want-a-be campground.

We tried several times to reach by phone to see if there were any RV spaces available, no answer. So we took a chance and showed up. Well sure enough they were full. The problem was there was no place to turn around at the gate and they said I couldn't go through the park to turn around. After getting people to move their cars & unhooking my tow I was able to turn around to leave. Now what kind of true RV Park doesn't make space for rvs to be able to turn around? If they don't answer the phone, don't go.

Owners very friendly and accommodating . Came in without a reservation ,but they were able to accommodate us. Site was level , grass with gravel parking , right next to a stream. Bath house was always clean and adequate . Large swimming pool. Very quite all the time. Easy to get to from the interstate. Not far from "The Ark encounter ".

The staff is very friendlynice pool for kids no sewer hook up but there is a dump station on the way out.steep hill on the way in and out,if you know how to drive your rig. You’ll be fine. We loved our over night stays to and from Florida ☀️close to i75. Quiet clean park like setting and pet friendly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

| Rough

Access road is winding, steep and narrow. I'd hate to meet another RV on it. Interior gravel roads are rough and sites are narrow and muddy when it rains. No WiFi but cell worked fine. TV antenna picked up several channels. Several rundown campers sitting there, and a couple appeared abandoned. Could be much better. Staff were nice but I wouldn't stay there again unless improvements were made. Overpriced for what's there now.

Road to campground was barely one lane wide. Signs on main road and one lane access road were overgrown with weeds and not readable. Pool closed and vines and weeds taking over chain link fence around it. Fishing pond not much more than mud hole. Several rundown, mold covered permanent RV there with tattered and torn awnings, etc. One water/power pole serves 2 sites so you need extra hose and power cords (only 30 amp). Buildings sorely in need of painting. Owners/staff were nice enough though and helpful getting into our site. I’m guessing that with only about 25 sites that there is limited funds for major improvements but there are minimal cost TLC items that would make it more appealing.

This was our first stay in our RV in a campground. Chris couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. He gave us a ride to the Ark. And when we had a problem with our slide out, he troubleshot it and got us on the road for home. Thanks Chris!

Concerned at first about the entry road. It's about 12 feet wide. If you meet someone coming the other way you have to pull off the road. Park itself is okay it rained a lot when we were there the creek came up but not into the campsite campsite drained okay. We camped here in a 25 foot trailer I think it's the best option if you're going to the Ark.

| Very narrow

Very narrow road to park, luckily we didn t encounter another rig coming or going because I don t know what we would have done. Upon arrival you are very particularly directed to your site. Ours was a narrow back in right next to a main path so we had people walking thru our site all night so we had to keep our dogs in the RV. Glad it was just an overnight.

Entry road will have you scratching your head but fear not you will know when you get there. New owners are working hard to update an older camp. Narrow road and slots can be challenging, grounds show wear and tear of being close to large city, great place for kids with a creek running through it.

| Small retiree park, not great for teenagers

As stated in other reviews narrow road to camp but navigable. Check in process blocks other traffic entering campground since there is not a separate check-in lane. Should eliminate the parking by the defunct pool and turn that area into the check-in lane. Green grass at all sites, decent size stone fire rings, nice gravel pads for parking, Hiking trail system is not well maintained, check for ticks regularly.
