Reviews for Timberland Lake Campground

| Raw sewage on our site

We had raw sewage back flow over our site due to their septic tanks. They didn't offer to change our site, apologise, or check on us although they knew what happened. Even when we told the maintenance guy what had happened he just told us he was on to it.

I had my family set up here for a weekend. The facility was. Nice family entertainment plenty to do nice pool, clean. Women’s shower room needed a little attention according to my wife, but we managed. I’d do it again

We enjoyed camping here for a weekend. We went the first week of October. The campground was decorated for Halloween . They had a hayride and a haunted trail. Which was a lot of fun. They also have a great fishing lake.

Beautiful area. Friendly campers. Some of the site areas are a little awkward but we were up for the challenge.

| Rude people

Horrible road just to get to this location. Huge area. They DO NOT enforce keeping animals on leash. Other dogs attacked ours, very rude, owners could care less. Very noisy.

Staff is great, very friendly. Just stayed a nite, passing thru. Good value at Passport America rate of $30, but full price would be too much. Gravel and dirt pull thru site with grassy area with table and fire pit. Took quite a bit of fussing to get level. Quiet area. Didn t use any facilities so can t speak to that. Cable TV is nice but WiFi only works by the office.

I stayed here as an over night stop. Staff was friendly, but the campground is run down and not well maintained. The pull through sites where they put overnighters are not paved and the soil is a fine sand that is easily tracked in. I was probably more aware of this since it poured rain while I was there. I think that at some time in the past the roads were paved... There is virtually no lighting so very dark and pretty deserted on the Monday night I was there. There are quite a few seasonal units that appear to not have been moved for years but since many of them were decorated for Halloween they are apparently used regularly. I am a woman traveling alone and I found it vaguely creepy. This toilet area in the bathhouse was pretty clean but when I peeked into the shower area there was black mold on the bottom 12 inches or so of the shower curtains. I travel through this area several times a year and need an overnight spot. I might stay here again if I can't find a better alternative. On their website they list price as $55 per night which is high. At check in without asking they have me a $20 "first time camper" discount which made the price reasonable.

The area is wooded and pretty. The grounds are not well maintained. The roads are narrow and rutted. The bath houses are filthy. The playground was dirty. The pool was clean and lovely! It s quiet during the week but when weekenders arrive, look out! Noisy with no apparent regard for rules or quiet time. Our neighbors ran a power washer morning, noon and night. Soooo noisy and we even got wet from the spray at dinner time!

Run down. No grass. Dirt road. Dirt site. Large POTHOLES. Big enough to damage camper.
