Reviews for Tims Ford State Park

| Falling apart

By user-6198038... on 2017-10-23.

Just a couple of years ago I was highly recommending this park to others, but not any more. The park has been steadily getting run down from lack of repairs. The dated bathrooms are not being cleaned, the campsite hookups barely work with loose outlets and breakers, and even the water faucets require repeated effort to get the water flowing properly. Some of the picnic tables are rickety with rotting wood and even the foot bridge across the water feels unsafe with loose and rotting boards. Apparently they have the personnel to do repairs because they're always touring the campground in their pickups and golf cars. Guess they're just soaking up a government check though. This was a nice place. Too bad.

Below zero. Terrible bathrooms. Old and nasty dirty! Trash on trails.

This is our favorite place to camp in the area. Sites have a good view of the lake and are spaced for privacy. Paved walking/bicycle trails provide scenic views of wildlife and the lake as well. The park is well cared for and sites and trails are kept clean and in good repair. Bathrooms are dated, but clean as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a huge swimming pool and beautiful golf course there too. Highly recommended!

| Nearby but only stayed once

The campground is old. The spaces are close together and can get very crowded in-season. The street is one way and very narrow. The bath house is old and although it was clean there is only so much that can be done. The paved walking trail was nice. The campground has potential but will take work to get it there.

| Worst Park Ever!!

Booked this park before we heard of RV Parky unfortunately. Agree with others. Only 4 sites have sewer. We have a 26' bumper pull with no slides and it was a very small pad you couldn't even walk around. Signage from Lynchburg, Tn is simply awful. Never stayed in any park this bad before & will never stay here again. If there was a minus rating, we'd give it a -10.

Beautiful park. Lots of shady trees. Level lots. Not the biggest lots. But perfect for smaller rig campers. Bathrooms/showers, play grounds throught park. Dump station. Open year round
