| Love it
I've been going here ever since I was a kid. I know both the Horseman's camp and Family Campground. Horseman's Camp has changed over the years and they crammed in a lot more extra spots. Not as spacious as it used to be. The Family Campground is still very nice. In the woods, nice showers and nice hiking / bike trails. One of my favorite parks in Indiana. And don't forget about the fire tower! Climb to the top and see miles and miles away.

Grounds were well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. Several larger camp spaces. Plenty of shade and trees. Nice parks for the kids. Not many sites with water hookup but had a convenient filling station. Very nice atmosphere. Good experience. Bathrooms were very well kept, clean and nice. Very good showers. Overall a great place. We will go back again.

Nice park! Roomy with a little elbow room. Lots of trees so satellite was useless at my site. OTA tv was obtainable. Come prepared, no water or sewer hookups. Not even the camp host had these which I thought was odd. Water station is available just before campground. Disappointed in the fact that it's called River state park but the river is quite the hike away. By vehicle it's about a mile. Even though it's a pretty park with the amenities you get it's not worth the price...
