As former mariners, any port in the storm is necessary, this a port to cruise by. The showers, both men and womens were full of those Japanese beetles. The trash around the year around trailers was dispicable. The fellows running the show were nice enough and the location and property could be absolutely gorgeous.
First, we pulled in after 10pm and had no problem calling the after hours number and greeted by staff who was very quick to check us in and get us all set up. He was very friendly with our dogs and told us where the open run is for the dogs on the far side of the lake. Our dog even played in the water the next AM. Fishing was great too! Caught and had for dinner, a 13# Catfish (Thanks for the free meal). We were there on a Karaoke night where a professional DJ played music and had Karaoke set up (better than most bars I have been to). The manager helped us set up and get everything working properly and even helped with leveling us out. Well kept grounds! VERY PET FRIENDLY!!!!!
The staff was super helpful and friendly. The campground was perfect for our stay because it was more of a work trip for us than just camping for fun. It was clean and safe. Many people seemed to live there permanently. Wifi was pretty much nonexistent and our ATT cell service was spotty at best. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
