Reviews for Tonopah RV Park

| Rare find

Only 3 parks in Tonopah, casino lot does not take reservations, Joy is not a joy by reviews. And this place is a class act for overnight stays..All are pull thru and very wide..big rigs not a problem because turning space is huge..basically not many amenities but very clean and well kept..you won’t go wrong staying here overnight..not much to do in town but really no other choices south of here until Vegas. Enough extra room here to dry camp if no hook ups available

| Not bad for overnight

We stayed 2 nights to take in the area including Goldfield. Not horrible but lack of lighting at night makes this place very hard to find in the dark! The sign maker should be shot (I hope they got a great deal) as it doesn t even say RV park. It also has no night time lights.

| Great stopover.

Nice, pleasant and helpful staff. Level sites, all services work, easy, roomy access and exit. I would definitely stay again.

| Overnight stop?

If you come from the north it is the first stop on the left side, easy to drive by. We planned to stay here for an overnight stop but we came in early and asked if we could cancel our reservation. No problem. Very Nice staff/owner. We even could use the WiFi and phone for free as At&T is not working here. Park is nothing fancy, right along the highway. Pullthrus in sand. So expect roadnoise. Very close to your neughbour but for a overnight stop good enough. You have to make a reservation beforehand.

Nothing fancy, but very nice. All pull through gravel sites in front of the motel. The bathrooms and showers were one of the best we have had in our five months of traveling. We just stopped here on our way from South Lake Tahoe to Great Basin National Park. We planned to just hang out and relax, but found that there was a lot to see and do in Tonopah. It is also 1/2 way between Reno and Las Vegas. Would definitely stay here again if we were passing through.

| What a great place

Our truck broke down and had to get it towed here. The managers were extremely nice and very helpful. They have full hookups, WIFI, and cable. The attractions within Tonopah were fantastic. What could have been a depressing time with engine problems, turned out to be a great stay.

We love the desert and this area. After being on the road for two months we decided to stop here for 4 nights before going to Death Valley. Came in without a reservation and everyone greeted me and I was given a spot. Management is friendly and helpful. I haven't used the restrooms but wifi is definitely above average. The entire facility consisting of some sort of motel rooms/long term stay fronted by the RV park is ultra clean and well taken care of. Yes, it's in the dirt and yes it's on the highway but remember, this is a small town in the middle of the desert!! Love it!! Also, I paid for all 4 days on arrival and received a discount that was roughly equivalent to one free night.

| Can't Control the Weather

The 40 MPH winds and driving sleet didn't help with our visit here! Barbara was lovely and as helpful as she could be, under the circumstances But this is a big gravel parking lot with a few red-rock "islands" in the park. The sites are pretty level and the services are nicely located. My biggest problem? Although they say they have water at the sites, they do not. All of the water services are covered in black plastic bags and turned off. OK, so the pipes freeze when it gets cold enough, but then they should tell you that before you arrive. We filled our on-board water and were OK for the night. If we'd wanted to stay a week, that would have been a BIG problem! There is some, small traffic noise because the park is right on the highway, but that wasn't a major issue for us. The biggest issue was the weather, which isn't under their control, but may we suggest putting in some big trees, a wall or a wind-break of some sort? I'm guessing the winds often come from the same/similar direction and that would make stays more pleasant.
