A nice surprise! Stopped here because of bad storms ahead and we were pleasantly surprised. Small park nice sized mostly clay spots. Plenty of room for us 38 ft and a car. A great view that makes you feel like you are in the mountains. Stayed in site 17. It is 14 miles from the interstate but a beautiful hilly drive. Not like the rest of Florida.
I stayed at this campground for one night. Good trails and excellent views. If I could give this park no stars I would. I stayed the weekend before Memorial Day. Sadly there was a young, unaltered male puppy running loose in the park. He was quite skinny and had infections in both eyes. He was very friendly and in need of help. Unfortunately none was to be found. The park rangers, sheriff and Town of Bristol could have cared less. The puppy had no tag/collar. This situation upset everyone at the campground and left visitors with the task of finding this puppy help. We could not find one surrounding community with any interest in helping and none had any services for stray animals....and none cared. I will never spend my money or vacation dollars in these communities again.
Nice Park RV Lots Were Nicely Spaced With Shade Alot Of Hiking Trails Avg. 45 Minutes Per Mile
We were very happy with our stay. No difficulties with anything. It was very nice and quiet which was exactly what we needed. Mr Davis was very helpful as well as our camp hosts. New a/ c bathroom and showers BUT the older bathroom and showers were nice and very clean as well. Really liked that the sites were spaced out enough. Many of the trails still closed but working on clearing. They have options tenting, cabins and yes a YURT I love this Only place around that has this. We will definitely come back again We wish we lived closer. Thank you again
