Reviews for Torry Island Campground

We have stayed here twice, once in Feb 2017 and once in Feb 2019. The park always seems to be under construction, but honestly, its not bad for the nightly and weekly rate. It's safe and the residents are friendly, plus they've added more full hookup sites, so that's nice, but the overly- aggressive mosquitos make it so you're inside after 7pm. Pretty much all the bugs are aggressive out here. You can fish and hike, and it's about an hour into West Palm Beach. The local area doesn't have too much for entertainment or food, and the on site water and electrical can be touch-and-go. The park management really tries to be accommodating. Try to get "in the front" if you can.

I ve stayed here twice in season . If you aren t retired, & can t plan out your vacation one or two years in advance but still want to enjoy south Florida weather this is your place. The bad: bugs, loud airboats, tight spots, no privacy between units, spots aren t level, some sewage connections are 6-8 above grade. The good: affordable rates, friendly staff & residents, access to lake O fishing, & fishing from bank in canals, golf course, & beautiful sunsets over the lake.
