| Nice friendly host

This is and older well established park. The two oak trees at the entrance are a sight to behold. Representative of the shaded lots in this family orientated park. Tucked away from the main road but certainly worth the journey. A mix of permanent and transit spots. There is a bathhouse that is not listed. If your weary bones need a rest the is a welcome reprieve from the typical hustle and bustle of RV campgrounds. Do stop in a stay a spell. You will be treated to Carolina style hospitality. Great community activity center an splendid pool.

| Forested campground

Beautiful! On top of Purgatory Mt. Close to the NC Zoo. We heard birds, crickets, frogs AND African lions. The pool deck is old but the pool itself is large and 9’ deep with ample “kiddie” area at the shallow side. Campers were quiet and courteous. A gracious hostess tops it off. If you’re a tree lover or geologist, you must check this special place out!

| Ok in a pinch

Needed a place to stay for the night on our way to SC and chose this campground based on the 2 reviews here. The hosts were very nice, but the grounds & sites need a lot of work. 90% of the full sites are occupied by long term rentals I guess as a "camp". There was nearly no one there which made for a quiet evening. Most of the sites require SERIOUS leveling & I had to settle for sort of level since I ran out of leveling pads/blocks. The roads are in serious disrepair and the bathrooms are.......in need up some improvements. Paid $35 for FHU, but only used E & W. Wouldn't bother staying there again unless I was desperate.
