This is a great location if you don't want to drive downtown. The city bus stops right in front of park. Missions just down the street! Nice level pads and patios with tables. Good hook ups. Quiet area.

Nice campground, on bus line, close to Alamo and missions. Nice finished roads and clean campsites.Friendly staff.

Close and Convenient
By user-5848062... on 2017-10-23.
Area approaching is sketchy. Once inside it's a nice, clean and friendly park. Very well keep. Clean laundry room. Sites are well maintained and there are plenty of trees for shade (but trimmed as to not be a concern). Bus to San Antonio is conveniently located across street from the entrance. Return is right in front. Historical Missions are close by bike or car. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night passing thru SanAntonio. Friendly staff, helpful, very clean and neat campground. Mostly filled with snowbirds who are very friendly...call ahead for reservations as this is a popular campground. Word of warning.....follow the campground instructions on how to get to their location....do not follow your GPS unless you want to take a scenic tour of the city.
This is our stop whenever passing thru the area. Bus route right at the campground to the River Walk...always enjoy a nice dinner on the river when we stop.

We arrived after hours for our reservation. Our paperwork was easily located and we got ourselves to the site easily. Nice having a paved patio to step out onto. Wifi worked good. Extremely easy access to the River Walk. We took our bikes out and did about 10 miles. Beautiful area, even with the humidity. We had an issue with a bolt shearing off on our bike rack. We are a small rv so no tow vehicle. Had to do a run to close by Home Depot and asked the office if it was ok to check out late, which was ok per their paperwork if you advise before 10:00. She let us know that had someone for that spot at 1:00 so if we could possibly be out by noon that would be good. We ended up leaving just a half hour past regular check out of 11:00. We feel that we didn't have enough time to truly enjoy the park to its fullest. Thinking about stopping back by on our way back West.

Good and bad
By user-5847466... on 2017-10-23.
Pros: very clean park, level gravel sites, well organized front office, super-close to downtown
Cons: big con: only 2 dogs allowed, located in a bad part of town - we're talking drug dealers and prostitutes walking the streets at night as our Uber driver pointed out,
Cannot comment on pool, shower and restroom facilities, did not use

I will admit I was a little concerned driving up on Travelers World RV Resort, however, once I entered I was pleasantly surprised! Considering what you get, the price paid is very much worth it, not to mention being close to the Mission(s), the Alamo, and the riverboats downtown, it is hard to complain! There were quite a few longterm residents, but all the units were very nice and well maintained. The pool, although it was like bath water, was a nice refresher in the 90+ temp days. They also provided free wi-fi, which I did not use. I would stay here again.

Nice RV Park, close to downtown
By user-5538708... on 2017-10-23.
This is an older RV park, but well maintained and conveniently located to the River Walk and downtown area versus other choices. The city bus stop is also just across the road, offering a full day pass for under $3. The park has a great game room, clean showers, good laundry facilities, a nice pool and has many mature shade trees. The nearby city area is pretty old, but has a golf course, river path access and seemed adequate from a safety and noise standpoint. The park seemed to have many older, repeat, winter residents. Overall, it was quite pleasant.

We, too, were a little concerned as we approached this park, but it is a little oasis in a very convenient location. We especially enjoyed the fantastic bike path just outside the park entrance. We biked both ways to visit two different missions, San Jose & Conception, that were free and and very interesting. The wide, concrete paths are beautifully maintained. We also rode the bus into town for $2.75 each for the day. The park is very tidy and clean, but the sites are quite close to each other. Wifi was better than most. I would recommend this park if you want to have a convenient location to explore San Antonio.

Really nice campground. Many shaded spots to accommodate most rv's. Very clean and well maintained.
City bus stop, right out front, will get you downtown for $1.30 each way. Get a senior citizen ID card at the transit head quarters downtown and you can ride the bus for $.25 each way until 3:30 p.m. After 3:30, 1/2 price the regular fare.
Super nice paved walking/biking trail, next to the campground, follows the San Antonio river for miles.
The campground is popular. Get reservations early.

Was very useful with the laundry facility and showers. Felt very local and at home. Bus stops right in front and can go just about anywhere. Will recommend for sure.

This is a beautiful campground located just 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio with bus service into the city across the street. There are a lot of beautifully shaded sites that are pull through or on Airstream Drive but the back in sites on Avenue B are very close together and some have hook ups on the passenger side which is not only weird but means you get to look at your hookups as well as your neighbors. YUCK! We would definitely love to stay again but would not stay in an Avenue B site unless it was at the far end away from the front entrance so the sites were bigger!

This urban oasis makes an excellent base from which to explore San Antonio. If you're going to the Alamo or River Walk, you catch the bus across the street from the resort. It is in the midst of the five missions which make up the new UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Alamo, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan and Mission Espada.
If you want to spend time at the resort, you will find a pool, hot tub, game/exercise room, lending library, small off-leash dog area, and friendly people. There's a nice laundry room too with 8 washers and 8 dryers.
Into bike riding, walking or jogging? Just outside the park you can enter the paved bike path which will take you for miles in either direction.
We can't say enough about this park. If you're going to Sea World, the Schlitterbahn, or Six Flags Fiesta Texas, though, it would be best to drive because they're about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away.

Customer Service over phone lacking...
By user-5857305... on 2017-10-23.
They may have been busy, but no one told me when I booked my stay that I would lose 25% of my deposit if I cancelled. Weather was the factor, not in my control, for my cancellation- at this point I will not book there again. I was looking forward to the trip and was disappointed when we couldn't go but we couldn't go due to the weather.
By user-5908781... on 2017-10-23.
This is a very clean campground. The sites are adequate for the stat if you are doing the sightseeing routine. The bus service downtown is so convenient. I would recommend using it rather trying to drive and park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept very clean. Would stay here again.

We love this location!
By user-5795631... on 2017-10-23.
I was pleasantly surprised with this RV park. Located in a part of town that has seen better days, I was apprehensive. It is on the banks of the San Antonio River and bordered by a lovely golf course. Along the river is a wonderful hike and bike trail that connects the 4 missions of San Antonio. If you have a bike bring it! The park is large and very clean and well maintained. We were in spot Q and enjoyed the view of people riding past on their bikes. The spots are gravel with a concrete pad with a picnic table. I found ours to be level. The pool was clean but was very chlorinated. The hot tub was hot. The small fenced in area for dogs to get some play time was appreciated. This park is an easy 3 miles to downtown. Also we ate twice at the Taquria Quadalahara (sp?) Across the street and enjoyed it.

Very well kept up park. You will drive through some traffic to get here as the park is in the middle of town. I was given a gravel pull-thru FHU site (98) with a concrete patio and nice lawn. My 42' 5th wheel had plenty of room along with my truck for the site I was given.. Cable TV & Wi-fi both worked well. You can sign up for town tours right at the park office or take the city bus just across the street from the park.

Very pleased with this park. Well run, good sites and very convenient the now extended river walk/bike trail. We rode our bikes to the three missions in one direction from the park entrance. The next morning we made a left out the gate and rode to the Alamo plaza for a the day tour. Beautiful pictures at night of the well lit Alamo.
Would return to this park for sure. Rates were fair.

Once there we parked the truck and then took advantage of the bike trail or the bus stop right outside the front gate of the campgrounds. We were able to travel to The River Walk, four Missions, and the Alamo , without the pitfalls of driving in city traffic. Campground is well maintained and staffed by friendly and helpful crew. Campground was easy to find as the staff had provided detailed instructions to navigate the easiest way to the park. Would not hesitate to recommend this campground to anyone wanting to see the sites of San Antonio.

This was a very fun place in a great location for seeing San Antonio. Lively park with something always going on. This was just at an entrance to the Mission/Riverwalk Trail that connects all of the Missions to downtown. There is a bus stop at the park entrance, and an all day $2.75 ticket saves a lot on parking fees. May be one of my favorite parks.

Returning visit to San Antonio, we were in a back in site, pull thru's are more spacious but we had privacy at the back side, with a golf course behind us. Mostly newer RV's & trailers & 5th wheels, nice pool, rec room, laundry etc. You can catch bus 42 into the River Walk, Alamo etc. Very convenient. Nice concrete slab for our picnic table. Paved interior roads. They very conveniently parked our Winnebago on Winnebago Ave. My only only real complaint was they turned the water off 1 morning without prior notice & the gardners start too early on the golf course. I'm not a morning person. Easy location to visit all the missions.

This is a resort style RV park. Spots are pull through, level, gravel and can accommodate up to 40' and a car. There is plenty of shade, mixed throughout the park. The dog run is nice, the pool is clean, and the facilities are all well maintained. If you are military and stay two nights, you get the 3rd free. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The hookups are fine but you do need a water regulator as the pressure is at 165 lbs. The cable is loaded with plenty to watch on T.V. We used city transportation and got all around the town with ease, once we learned the bus routes and schedule. Overall, a great experience. and will have to come back here one day.

The place itself is very nice and cozy. They have every thing you can think of here. The staff is great and as helpful as can be. The neighbor hood around it is not the best, but I had no issues inside the park itself.
One piece of advice I will give, call before you drive here and ask about the best route to take. There is a set of railroad tracks that will mess you up if you try to go across.

Stayed 2019-07-11 to 2019-07-14
We chose this RV park due to its proximity to the River Walk. We had a pull-thru (site 93) the was long and gravel with a concrete patio. The sites here are nice and wide. The power for our site was on the passenger side of the RV, but it worked out all right. The rest of the hookups were perfect. Watch out for the water pressure though. Make sure you have a pressure regulator!
We drove in to the downtown the first day and phew the parking was expensive if you could find it. $15.00 for 12 hours so we made the best of it. Walked the river walk, took a boat ride, ate on the "river", and had a drink at the Hotel Mengers. You can bike from the RV park, but its 5 miles.
Spent the next two days riding our bikes on the River Walk and visiting the San Antonio Missions.
If you are visiting the San Antonio area I can't think f a better place to stay.
