I got a nice space and found the weekly rate to be in line or less than other places. It's not scenic, so 4 stars, but I'm in the city to visit not camp so scenic is nice but not necessary. I will stay here again.
Tried to make a reservation on friday via the website for sunday but they wouldn't review it untill the next business day. So we just went there hoping to get a spot by winging it. But the office is closed the entire weekend!! We called the number posted outside and asked if we could just park in one of the many vacant spots and pay in the morning (we wanted to stay for 3 nights) but we were told, not in a very friendly way, that there was no way they would allow it. How can you manage a campground and not be open in the weekends...
The good: 3 blocks to BART station, Costco, Trader Joe and Starbucks walking distance. Best bath & showers you will find in a campground, very clean grounds. Safe area walked from BART after midnight. The odd: reservations by email only, limited check in time, gruff manager, awful speed bumps, $65 / night. If you can't check in you can park free overnight in the Costco next door.
70 a night for full hookup on cement site. Clean restrooms. Close to stores. Share park with alot of permanent residents. Neighborhood kinda of iffy.
I made reservation and arrived on 6:30pm. The office was closed which is normal, so I called the number on bulletin but the lady said she can do nothing for me, because the number is supposed to be for emergency only. But the bulletin didn't say that and what is the number not for emergency? She had no idea. Also she said my reservation cannot be found! Finally she found the maintenance guy and he took care of my whole family 5 people. Thanks for her final help but I will not be in this unreliable site whatsoever.
Tried tot make a reservation on their web site, did n't work. Send a message that we would like tot make a reservation. We arrived after 5 p.m. Gate was open and we parked our RV at one of the many free places and mailed that we would come by next morning to do the paper work and pay for our stay. Checked the park: many and good laundry facilities, few and dirty restrooms and showers. Next morning we received a mail from the management that ordered us tot pull out immediately and not to come back! We took our time and left the park without playing. They don't understand nothing about hospitality. Rude people!
Perfect location to visit SF. You have BART Station in walk in distance. Traveltime about 30 min to union square. Round trip 9 ยง. Clean showers, full hook up, helpful personal.
We tried calling on a Saturday to make a reservation. They are closed on weekends, not opening until 9:00 am on Monday. That should have been our first clue. Regardless, we sent an email requesting a reservation anyhow. Arrived at 9:00 am Monday morning only to be met by the most miserable man we have encountered in our 4 week road trip. He would not tell us if we could get a reservation or space for the following few nights and would only repetitively say check in is 1:00. We told him we understood, but would like to know if we could check in at 1:00. No, he cant answer us. At a glance through the park it was apparent there were at least 10 to 15 empty sites. Left and went to Candlestick park. This is not a place for happy campers, and should be removed from all camping apps as a place to go!!!
I don t know why people complain about. We stay there for 5 days. Good location - close to everything. Wish to stay longer but our trailer too old for new policy.
I would definitely suggest saving your sanity and staying anywhere other than Treasure Island RV park. The woman in the office, G... I believe, is the rudest, most condescending person I have ever dealt with while traveling. They must have made a change to management but it certainly isn t an upgrade. We stayed at the RV park for 3 months and were beyond thrilled when our time here was done. It s a shame that this RV park is run by such and incapable person because the location is convenient and the maintenance team was outstanding! I only wish that we had listened to the reviews before booking here.
very bad, no service and anti-social behavior. we have never been treated so badly. our advice; never stay here! very annoying people!
