Spent 3 days here and had a very enjoyable time. We stayed very busy as there was lots to see and do on site and off. O did I mention the fishing.

We camp here every month. Kiddo friendly, always something happening and friendly staff. Located in Glen Rose, TX lots of sites to see.

Campground is OK. Sites are generally pretty close and in grass, not paved or gravel pads. Incredibly dusty and lots of burs in the grass so pets beware. Restrooms are dated but relatively clean. Pool is OK - actually was a spring fed pool years ago when this was a Girl Scout camp. We stayed free because of doing the sales promotion special. Our presentation was painless and we were finished in the allotted 90 minutes but people camped next to us were kept considerably longer. We had a power failure at our site with temps approaching 100 on a Sunday. The maintenance man was at our site within minutes - good job! We were in site #2 in the back of the park and were allowed to "park however we wanted" so we set up with a nice view of the river. Probably the only site where you can do that and you have to be under 25'.

What a crummy, very expensive place... Unless you're a member or endure an hour long sales pitch. Then the price becomes reasonable. One male member of the staff was quite cordial, all others were surly and didn't much care (all female). One staff member didn't think my 2014 RV qualified for entry. One night with 30 amp service (no cable) was $50. When I arrived the power circuit breaker (on a distant pole) was tripped and had to be reset. It tripped again after 30 minutes. I didn't stay a 2nd night as I had planned.

It would be nice if the Ocean properties time share people dont harrass you about signing up and not having two people for the tour. Plus they charged me $60.00 for one night because I in their minds missed the tour.
