| A delightful state park.
This state park has some great hiking and access to other outdoor activities. We didn't have reservations for a Thursday night during prime summer vacations, but were able to get a site with water and electric without too much trouble. Bathrooms are basic, but considering how many folks were in the park, they were clean and maintained. Camping Cost: $32.10 + daily entrance fee of $9.00. We'd stay here again if we're in the area.
| Good Place To Stay
This is a place that we camp at a couple of times a year. The sites are spacious but electricity can be an issue sometimes. The electric poles can be quite far away from the pad and are placed between campsites sometimes on the wrong side of the camper. I strongly suggest have at least one 50 for extention cord just in case. The bathrooms/showers have been being remodelled over the last few years and they are kept fairly clean but during a busy weekend the toilet paper can run it fast and the showers can be hard to get into without a wait. The outhouses scattered about the campground are another story all together. Though I'm used to using one so it didn't bother me as much they are small, dirty, smelly and VERY buggy. You can hike the State Park trails straight from the campground. They is also Sugar Valley Canoe just a little ways down the road and walking distance I'd you enjoy canoes, kayaks or tubing. They have a good store at Sugar Valley too unlike Turkey Run's campstore which is greatly lacking.
| Decent place
The showers and restrooms leave a lot to be desired and the camp store is poorly stocked, but other than that Turkey Run is one of my favorite places to camp.
