| Exactly what we needed!
Perfect for us! The staff and owner are so friendly and accommodating. Debra, Emily and Sherry did all they could to make our stay amazing! I really can't say enough about the location and it's simple amenities. It was so nostalgic and reminded me of the places we would stay as kids in the 80's. I loved it! Two of the full timers we met there, Leonard and Howard, the stories they told and the places they've been... wonderful! It is 30 minutes from ABQ and all it has to offer (great zoo, arboretum and aquarium...train connects all three if ticket is purchased before noon). And the Sandia Crest is just minutes away. $3 gets you unlimited access to all the trails and Day use areas on the route up. Tinkertown is a gem! You could spend half a day there and still miss something! If simplicity, the basic necessities, friendly folks and starry nights sound like your kind of camping then the Turquoise Trail RV Park is for you! Thanks ladies!!
| Stay at Walmart
Not a place you want to stay. Overgrown and not well cared for. Paid for 2 nights left after 1.
| Hit or miss
We stayed here one night to break in our new travel trailer. We live in Albuquerque, so it isn't far from home. I was disapointed with our stay. The best spots are taken by the long timers, so plan on getting stuck in the crappy spaces with weeds and down wind from some nasty sewer odors. We found the odor so overpowering it was too unpleasant to sit outside. The owners seem really nice, and were very kind. The park was actually very quiet, so not sure what the complaints about dogs running wild are all about. The tent area looked pretty nice and secluded, with much more vegetation compared to the RV park.
