We were there two weeks in July 17. Lots of grass, everyone that we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Showers/restrooms very new and clean. There was 4-H and other activities most evenings. Not a traditional RV park but we liked it and will stay again.
The campground at the fairgrounds is an excellent option for camping. The sites are large, grassy sites with a large number of 50 amp full hookup sites that are all back in sites. The 30 amp sites are full hookup sites that are in a nicely shaded tree-lined section. The only oddity are the location of the water and sewer connections which are located at the very back of each site. Check with the campground in advance for any scheduled events that may result in the campground being closed. James the foreman of the fairgrounds is a very nice man and was easy to work with. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there is a posted sign to contact James for after hours information.
I accidentally entered the wrong rate on previous review, it's actually $20 per night for 50 amp full hookup W/E/S
