Camping sites are right on top of each other. Zero privacy. Would not recommend at all.
Nice clean camp grounds. Yes it is small, but we are fine with that. We have a 34 ft RV and have never had an issue. There are a couple of class A sites, but need to make reservations in advance for these sites. He rangers are very friendly and helpful. We to often and have taken out grandsons with us - a lot for them to do
This is a small older state park. The sites are shaped oddly so you have to be creative when setting up. All amenities are clean but they do show their age. Small trailers are easiest. This doesn't matter to us, but they are in a telecommunications deadzone. Will stay again.
The camp hosts take good care of this place. No litter, level gravel sites, and super clean bath house. It is small lots of tall trees for shade but no vegetation separating sites. Verizon coverage was fair at night and poor in the morning. But the sites are level and the showers are to die for! At $40 ($37 with REI membership) we thought it was a good place to spend the. Night.
This is a fabulous state park. Showers and bathhouse are very clean, and kept that way. I want to keep it to myself but a nice place as this should be known to those who camp for the right reasons.
Like all of VA's state and COE parks it is clean and well kept. Small and popular you need to reserve in advance. Gravel sights are roomy, be prepared to use leveling blocks/Jack's. The ranger staff are very friendly. Lots of trees and a day rec. area by the lake with snack bar. Quiet and comfortable.
