| Beautiful campground, great surroundings, ANTS EVERYWHERE

By user-6227203... on 2017-10-23.

This would be a great place to spend a few weeks. The hookups are all brand new. The sites a concrete and level. Very nice pool and clubhouse. Excellent staff. Situated between two lakes, less than 100 feet from any site. Now the bad. The place is lousy with sweet eating ants. You will spend half your time trying to figure out how to keep them out or get them out of your rig. I've killed off at least a dozen nests with Terro, but it's a losing battle. Unfortunately, the park doesn't really seem interested in doing anything about it. They'll sell you and killer, but that's about it. We're were going to stay for a week, but will bail out after 4 days of fighting ants. Too bad

| Great, relaxing spot

This is a great place to relax with beautiful views of the lakes. Very quite and mostly older campers. It's very clean and the concrete pads are nice. The bathhouse is very clean and nice, as well as the recreation center. They have a camp store with shirts and other souvenir type stuff along with a few RV things like toilet paper, sewer hoses, and such. The weather was bad the night I stayed with tornado warnings. The staff went to every camper in the middle of the storm to evacuate everyone (and their animals) to the Rec center until the storm passed. There are places to launch kayaks and small boats. The lakes are electric motors only. Saw a few bank fisherman catch bream and bass. Will defiantly visit again.

If you are looking for a bit of heaven on earth, this is a spot to try. A gated community with lots of charm. Concrete slabs for parking, views of the surrounding lakes, friendly and helpful staff. There are plenty of nice, secure docks for those who like to fish or boat. They are adding some additional sites - no doubt they will need them as people learn of this park.
