| Peaceful & Clean

We stopped here for the night and are so glad we did. The manager, Bill, told us to select our site and then returned a short while later to get us registered. We were the only people there! Bath/shower rooms (4) are new and clean. We took a nice hike and enjoyed a nice night Aline in the camp.

20 or so sites a few miles off the highway, very quiet and clean. Some sites ok for bigger rigs. Electric only sites were $19. But, $7 reservation fee and $6 daily fee bring the total to $32, a bit high for what it was. But, a nice quiet break from a long day of driving, would stay again. Nice hiking trails and lots of wild turkeys to entertain the dog.

This CG is only two miles off of Hwy 29 and has good views from the top of a hill. There are several pull-through sites and plenty of room for a 40' DP and a car. The road up is short and I encountered no branch issues. The park is heavily wooded and has a nice little walking trail. The only downside was that while the dump is open at the entrance, the fresh water is turned off (late March) and they do not have any dates posted on their website. South Dakota has a multitude of great inexpensive and/or free city park camping, much of which is not advertised on RVP. I could not find a comprehensive list online, but almost every little town has a few sites w/ elec.

Bring bug spray! This park is an entomologists dream. Nice RV sites, but tenters may wish for more level sites. The facilities are great with private restrooms that have spacious showers that are very clean. The hosts were very friendly too. Good quick overnight spot with easy access to 29, but you will hear trucks on the highway. A screen tent and bug spray are a must. J&J

Stopped here overnight with a reservation made same day online. Small, quiet, family atmosphere. Camp host/ranger very nice and helpful. Park for the kids and walking trailed as well. Always appreciated on long trips. Extremely clean restrooms with showers!!!!!

| A nice little state park.

This is a small (approx 25 sites) state park. It has standard state park facilities: nice/new fresh water and dump station, three water hydrants within the camping area, and a four-unit family style comfort station. We were in a 35' class A, and found both the access road and part of the interior road to have some low-hanging branches that were unavoidable. Very quiet and peaceful even on a major holiday weekend.

| Level and quiet

Nicest campground bathrooms I've ever seen except maybe for the campground at Disney World. Level, shaded spots, quiet. About 5 miles off of 29. Definitely worth the short drive off of 29 even for just a quick overnight stay.

Website says there is water at the sites, but our site (12E) had none. Other than that, this is a beautiful spot in the pine woods on top of a hill. We hiked the trail through the woods and enjoyed the sunset from the high vantage point. Bathrooms and shower were incredibly nice and clean. Highly recommend the park.

Stayed one night. Unplanned stop because storm was blowing trailer around. Reservations are required - can do on line or by phone so we called from the entrance to the campground. Met the host this morning- very nice and helpful with weather & road information for today. Extra fees included $6 camp entrance fee and $2 to make reservations by phone. Would stay again.

We used it for an overnight. Small and very pretty setting. Surrounded by woods and cornfields. Good facilities. Good for short hikes and just sitting around the campfire. Also has horse camping. Electric and dump station. Common water.
