Stayed at this Campground in early June for you event at Appalachian State College for daughter. Campgrounds in decent condition but could use some upgrading there is no cable TV and trying to get over-the-air channels was difficult as we were kind of in the Valley area so the only channels that we could receive with the OTA antennae was the local UNC TV. Spaces are grassy with gravel for parking pad nice concrete area to set up and hold Downs for your awning came equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Water sewer and electric both 30 and 50 amp plugs. Bathhouse was older but an overall good condition showers needs some more Lighting in them they were quite dark but seem to function properly. They did have a constant drip of water when turned off which may need new washers. You can buy wood from her for $5 but it's just a lot of small sticks and twigs and stuff and didn't really work out that well for us I would suggest buying your own wood at a local location There is a nice recycling facility just north of the campground on Highway 421 about a mile up on the right we were able to utilize that as well. The owner is very nice but overwhelmed by this place as noted when you walk in door of office.. stuff every where in piles and large friendly smelly dog as well.

Stayed here 2 nights because other parks in the area were full. Very tight between sites, broken down van at front of office, office and what used to be a campsite store is full of clutter and dead plants; I felt very uncomfortable in the office. Campground is mostly used by long-term workers and residents. There are very old and poorly maintained RVs on site some parked on the perifery. The only thing going for the park is good WiFi. Buildings are overgrown with plants. I went to the office and overheard a shouting match between the manager and a potential camper that left calling the manager a lyer.
