| Never Again

This park is no longer owned by Western Horizons and it shows. The person that handled our reservations was not great at all. It was a hassle from the word go. Too long of a story to tell. Then when we arrived and parked in our space the breaker kept shutting off. The park was not kept anywhere near the standards it used to have. So we decided to not go back there. When we called to cancel in the 14 days in advance we were still charged a $10 cancellation fee. What a ripoff! I remained courteous, but will never go back there again!

They call this place a work in progress. The progress would be like building a house and working one day a week. Two able young men sitting in the office with the manager all day. Grass is full of goat heads(mexican sand burrs). Walking our dog was treacherous. Don't know if we will every get them all out of our travel trailer. The laundry and nice showers were locked after cleaning on Saturday and not opened again until Monday. I could go on and on. Will never do this place again.

We stayed at Distant Drums last year and just did a drive through of this place. It was under renovation and that time. We thought we would try it this year. So glad we did! They have all kinds of sites and different sizes. They have extra long pull throughs for bigger rigs like ours, so it was very easy for us to get in and out. The amenities are top notch and the staff is excellent. Very happy and probably will extend our stay! It's a keeper

Stopped here on our way South for the winter. Everything is brand new in the park. The laundry & bathrooms/showers are very up to date and clean. The pool area is one of the nicest we have seen. Their cottages are brand new and all have a nice porch. I was given a FHU dirt/gravel pull-thru that was plenty big enough for my RV. Sites are staggered, but you still are 25'-30' from your neighbor. Wi-fi worked at better times of the day. I was able to use my dish and most spots are in the open. Landscaping was ongoing during our visit. Once all the upgrades are completed this will be a 5 star park.

| Great RV Park should rate as 4.5 or 5

Booked into this RV resort at the recommendation of a local small RV park that did not have room for us to stay a full month. We are very happy we are here the placehas just been completely redone. Sites are well spaced, some have shade trees, others have new trees planted along with newly seeded grass that they are still trying to establish. The washrooms, showers and two clubhouses are 5 star! Everything is tIled, modern and very clean. Nice exercise room, pool tables and shuffleboard. Also have a challengIng mInI golf that Is free They have a nIce pool just closed for he winter but the hot tub is open. The resort is serious about the rules such as no speeding (max 10mph), no cluttering up your site with storage boxes and junk, and quiet hours. 3 minutes to Camp Verde, 12 minutes to Cottonwood and about 35 to Sedona right in the heart of hundreds of thing to see and do. About 12 new cabins, many with large decks they look like a great place to stay though I have not been inside them.

This resort has just been re-done. It has FHU, including wifi and cable. It is 30 minutes from Sedona, 30 minutes from Jerome and 30 minutes from Prescott. You get all the amenities, without all the crowds from Sedona.

Different rates for different site types/sizes, riverview, wooded, etc; nice layout, many pullthrus, gravel throughout, roads maintained and watered for dust control; facilities A+ spotless newly redone baths with sauna, laundry machines new/clean and reasonable. Nice camp store/office and bonus mini golf included.

| Not an RV Resort

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

As stated, this is in no way an RV Resort. It s a gravel lot with odd places connections, (sewer connections in the front? When the electrical and water are in the back?) I had to max out my 20 sewer hose. The staff...I had a lady pull up to my rig and tell me my tow car was parked incorrectly. Mind you we were the only people on the entire 20 campsite row! Seriously? So... go to Distant Drums RV Park. It s a far better park in Camp Verde.

| Amazing RV Resort...lots to offer all ages

By user-5031819... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-08-02 to 2019-08-03

Wow. Wow. Wow... Surprisingly wonderful. Came up for an overnight stay to check out this RV Resort and the cabins they offer. This place offers spotless grounds, facilities and cabins. We stayed in a two bedroom which was nicer that most 4-5 star hotels/suites. The pool, spa, common club house make for a great social spot. The recreational options were fantastic. Pickleball, pool tables, basketball court, huge pool. Shaded sites as well as sunny sites. Miniature Golf for all ages, laundry and mini dog park. Amazing gym for the exercise enthusiasts. Huge club house with fireplace for the chillier nights and gas fire pit poolside. Had the opportunity to speak with the management team that run the place and their attention to detail on the place was amazing...you would have thought they were the owners. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The cleanliness of the cabins surpas some of the best hotel chains. This is now on our list of must stays in AZ. The manager shared with us the many special events that they host throughout the year and all that is available to visitors staying. I could go on and on...but you really need to see for yourselves. Cleary the owners of this location, Truly Care about the product that they offer to their guests. That is shown by their investment of the property and their commitment to hiring the right team members to maintain. Thank you Carrie, Ryan, Sharon & Heather We will be back.

We had a really nice stay at this resort. Short because we were travelling further but we can definitely recommend this place!
