The hospitality at the place is the best. Very helpful folks there. Nothing fance, but if you want a stay with full hopkups and close to Mount Airy this is the place
What a great stay! Feb 2019. Its a huge park next to VFW & American Legion. Full hook ups for 35. Run by volunteers. They are all veterans & it is awesome. It was super easy super quiet. We walked into town because we dont tow. About 2 miles but so worth it. Andy Griffith Museum & SAC exhibit on the Siamese twins Chen & Eng exhibit who lived close by. Definitely worth the visit. We stayed 2 nights!
A big open field with full hookups. Rest Rooms are large, basic affairs located and built to accommodate big events at this park; clean, but not modern and well used. Friendly staff though they did not provide us with a picnic table as promised. Location is great for walkers/bikers; it's a moderate walk to the downtown plus there is a nice bike path that loops around the town
