Really nice location next to a river, better maintained than other State parks we have been too. Not many power sites. Agree with the other reviewers about the reservation system it seems the signs just aren't changed.... happens at all NM State Parks
One mile long, so small park but beautiful. 300 foot cliff on other side of river prevents any cell reception. Nice bridge over river to some trails and historic spanish ruins (the conquistadors came through.). Both electric and dry sites. Good dumpsite and several water hook ups. While it is open year round, half the sites are closed til May 1 and bathrooms are only available in daytime til then. Each site has table and fire ring. Half the sites have table in a shelter. Nice bathrooms and showers. Trails are rocky but worth the walk. People were catching brown trout.
We arrived just after dark on a Sunday evening. Most sites had a "reserved" marker on. We took one of the few that didn't; all power sites said reserved. Seemed that the markers were incorrect, probably not removed from the night before. Frustrating. Some sites very small, some large pull thru. Some have BBQs, some have solid shelters. All very different. Has a dump site. Had showers, not sure about hot water. Non-power sites $10, power $14. Looks like a beautiful area. River runs right next to grounds. We only stayed one night.
