| Expectation too high?

By user-6285120... on 2017-10-23.

This was our first KOA and after having seen how they present themselves, my expectations were maybe a bit too high! The price is a bit too high for what you get. It is a fairly spacious campground, but the sites are not well maintained. The gras was very high, with plant in between them and the picknick table was very old. There are several trees for shade. The restrooms and showers were fine. The staff not too friendly.

Roomy pull through gravel sites but OK, was disappointed in the size of the showers, my shower space in the RV was larger, short distance to town but long drive to the Sequoia's.

| Average park

By user-6212686... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed over 1 night on our travels south in CA in our 40' motorhome. Lots of gravel and dirt, little grass, kind of dusty. If it rained this park would be a muddy mess. But there are some decent amenities like pool, dog park, propane etc. No street noise but the trains are not too far away.

| An OK overnight stop

By user-6061777... on 2017-10-23.

We were at sequoia natl park all day and were tired. We need a overnight stop. This place was just OK as it was a parking lot for the night. .....an expensive parking lot! We stayed here in a motor home with 4 of us and our bill came out to over $70! If weren't so tired we would've moved on to somewhere else. Clean bathrooms and showers.

| Okay for a KOA

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

As with most KOAs a bit pricey, but appears to be well managed and maintained (except for a few trees, more later). Most sites appeared to be level with sufficient room between guests to not feel crowded. Trees, what is with parks not pruning trees back from roads and sites? The site we were in had a large, 3 to 4in branch blocking us from pulling forward on exit...was forced to back out, then pull forward (someone is going to severely damage thier rig on this).

| Hookers, transients, and gunshots

Avoid!! Don't use the restrooms alone especially after 10pm. Scary people use it as their nightly hang out.
