This place has such potential to be awesome. The location is gorgeous. The price is right. We were charged $29 for the night and not charged extra for the water park or for diving! (My husband did rent equipment.) the people working here are the res issue. No one is kind, respectful, or knowledgeable. They said they *might have a spot (when there were only 4 occupants and literally 30 open sites. Our first site (which was the only one available)'s electricity didn't work. We were asked me stay while they worked on it, but eventually were asked to move sites to the only other one that was open. . . (Still no new people at any of the other sites). The water park again has such potential but I had to constantly guard my kids (ages 10 and 8) from teenagers or adults using vulgarity. Some kids were even trying to get toddlers to say bad words on the slides for kicks. So weird. I hope one day someone turns this place around. It deserves it. You can tell it used to be awesome back in the day.
The Spring head is beautiful and the slides, diving board and rope swing are great!...... but there is trash everywhere. People are allowed to drink alcohol and use tobacco products all around the swimming area. We were here during the week so there wasn't a lot of people, but of those who were here thought using profanities around my eight year old son was okay. This campground could be amazing with a lot of cleaning up.
Stayed here the weekend of July 7th - 9th 2017. Arrived to a full hookup site only to find there was no water spigot. Staff jumped on the problem but should have never been there to begin with. The next day, my wife was in the shower and the water pressure went to nothing. Furious I went to the office and ripped into the manager. She was very sorry, comped my whole weekend and gave me a free weekend later on. Now for the creme de la creme. We were packing the camper up Sunday morning. I go to dump my black tank into the sewer and after coaxing the black water through the hoses (had a really weird angle and setup) I started to notice a foul smell. I turn around and see the septic erupting in a craptastic fashion. At that point I said f@ck it, packed up as fast as I could with my family and hauled out of there ASAP. If you want to enjoy a day in the spring, by all means. But do not camp here at all costs. Take your money else where.
Avoid this campground. Not organized in their RV camping sites. No sewer on site no internet
