We stay over night at the Wagon Wheel campgrounds and found it to be very friendly. The grounds were clean didn't use their bathroom facilities. Paid $30.00 and we had local tv. Would stay there again. Have stayed in KOAs that were way more expensive and didn't offer any more.
A good stay. Cash only or check. Older place but clean.
We arrived around 5pm after a full day of driving. The campground is basically the (big) front yard of the owners house. The office is in their house, they are an older couple, very nice. You need to pay cash. The site was not level, the previous campers had dumped their charcoal briquettes on the ground. The water spigot was 30 feet from site. The bathrooms were old but clean enough. The toilet stall did not have a door but a curtain. There was 3 trailers other than our van, they all seemed occupied by long term resident. A dog on a property nearby barked part of the night which bothered me more than the train. The wifi was excellent. I would not recommend this place for more than a stopover.
