Reviews for Walkabout Camp & RV Park

| Nice simple campground with friendly staff

By user-5858592... on 2017-10-23.

This is a simple, clean campground close to the interstate, located in a large field near Fancy Bluff Creek. Pullthru, level campsites are on grass and sand. During heavy rains the campground can flood with a small layer of water, but it drains quickly and presents no problems with access. Good Passport America rate. A new, clean swimming pool is on the premise. There is little shade. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Propane can be purchased on site and RV washing service is available. We will stay here again when in the area.

Owners are friendly, easy access off of 95. Dirt roads, sites are all pull through all grass/fine sand or maybe it is dirt. In the morning dew quite a mess. Free ranging dogs, cats, chickens and young children. One child was driving a lawn TRACTOR around the facility as if on a NASCAR Track. There were what appeared to be full time residents that really did nothing but detract from the appearance of the campsite. I did not use any of the facilities so I can not comment on them.

| Breed restrictions (police dog's) will prevent me from staying here.

Quaint little park with easy access to I-95. We camped here with a 34 ft motorhome towing.

Wonderful park, clean, level, super nice owners and full time residents. Will be back. Chickens and pigs add charm. Sad time for owner, I hope he is still there next year. 10/10

We give 5 stars for the people alone! It’s a very nice little park that’s growing, very clean, very nice pool and playground. Nice clean bathrooms and laundry house. We would have stayed longer if work and time would allow. Be sure to gather at the campfire every night at 6 to meet the best people ever!

Great little campground with some great people. Pride of ownership shows here. Stop in if you need a night or long term, you won't regret it.

We stayed 3 nights in February. It s easy access right of I-95, just north of the Florida/Georgia border. An older park, but well maintained. There is a new bath house/laundry area, and they were adding a new section that s scheduled to open April 1, 2019. There is a community fire pit and activities weekly. The staff was very friendly during the reservation and check-in process. You will have a grass/dirt site with older FHU's (no cable TV), but they were fine. No picnic table or fire ring at your site. And the sites are pretty close to each other, but doable. Even though it s just off I-95, the road noise was okay. No shade trees here, so satellite will be fine. And they have a nice pool too. They do recycling here as well. All in all this is a nice little campground with trees all around you. Shopping is only 10 minutes away too. If we come this way again, we will definitely stay here.

| Best place to rest-sleep after a long days driving

This campground is really doing a great job being progressive and developing. A new section or two is being built to handle snowbirds. Great cell tower connectivity. Very sociable folks with a campfire ever night. The Australian them is attractive and not too over the top. Water-electric-sewer connections are all good. Bathrooms are clean, but the shower head pressure is not that strong. For military folks its like the navy shower where the water just sprinkles over you, and does not push you in any way. Just like any campground you are crowded together like stacked cord wood, but that is the same everywhere it seems. The main road is nearby with occasional cars passing. Camp did take the PASSPRT AMERICA discount.
