Reviews for Walnut Woods State Park

| Not bad for a state park

Nice park and easy to find. Sites were spaced far enough apart for privacy side to side. Big rigs might have hard time navigating into a spot. We have a 31’ Fifth wheel w/ a 2500 Silverado and the trees were a bit of a challenge. $17 for Full hook up is a great deal. Only downside was the literally thousands of walnuts falling all day and night on our rig. Most were soft but sometimes a bunch would fall down making a very loud bang on top.

This is a small state park. Only about 20 sites. About half are reservable and half available on a drive in basis. We were here during the week and many sites were open. The park has level concrete pads, 50 amp plug ins and some full hook up sites. If you don't have a reservation get here early, especially is you have a larger rig. There are only a few sites appropriate for a big rig and they are all back in sites!

Small so you need reservation. But very pretty. Nice and helpful Ranger. Very nice for full hook up and $14.00 is a great deal.

We happened on this and was very grateful. Clean and nice. Great price. Prepare for skeeters.

| Little State Park

Small not well known state park. Did note the dump station required a little ingenuity for the Class A to fit in. Class A's need to watch for low hanging trees along the roads to the park also.

Stayed one night passing through in late May. Place can be soggy, but everything is paved. Very wooded and peaceful. Didn't get to check out the park much, but seems like a nice pitstop for travelers or getaway for locals.
