Stayed here on way to Bar Harbor last week and now on way back home and staying again . Planes seemed to end overnight and we were very happy with our site next to lake

| Good summer campground

We stayed 3 nights in a travel trailer on a lakefront site. The site was large, and we could swim right in front of the camper. It is close enough to the ocean beaches and restaurants on southern Maine. It was nice to come back from the beach and swim in the warm lake and enjoy the lake views. The bath houses are older but clean. The campground is located near the Portland Jetport, and the jet noise is noticeable from 5:30 a.m. to about 7:00 p.m. There is also some road noise from the busy streets nearby. Wifi is sporadic like most campgrounds I have visited.

We spent one night here August 2016 because we were visiting a friend nearby. The people at the office were friendly enough and we got a spot next to the lake. So far, so good. The noise from jets flying in & out of Portland was unpleasant. Also, the restrooms and showers were not very clean & kind of run down looking. For over $50 a night I was shocked. They looked like city park bathrooms. The worst part of our stay occurred in the morning. I noticed that check out was 11:00 but I woke with a headache & was a little slow getting everything done. At 11:12 some man from the park knocked on our trailer door and asked if we'd extended our stay. This was after my husband had hitched the trailer on, removed the blocks & all we had to do was unplug electric. Our $50 site fid not even have a sewer hook-up. This camp is overpriced for what you get & they try to rudely hurry you out!
