Reviews for Waynesboro North 340 Campground

| Close to Skyline Drive

It's a large, older campground with a lot of long term campers. However, it is neatly kempt and everything works properly. The roads are asphalt and the pads are level gravel. There is a lot of shade and there is a big grassy area that is good for dog walking. The only negative is that the pull throughs for short term campers are rather close together. Also, be aware that if you stay over a Saturday night, there might be a very loud band at the pavilion.

...nice place to stay for a few nights for some R&R after driving the Skyline Parkway. Close to the Skyline Parkway and Blue Ridge Parkway. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area. DW says immaculate restrooms. Very friendly staff! Great Wi-Fi --- strong connection and fast.

Stayed one night. Lots of full timers. No issues, friendly staff. I had trouble in un-hooking my TV, couple guys walked by and asked if I need help.

We needed a one night stay and this was a nice small campground. Staff was super friendly. Very quiet and lots of permanent folks.

An older but large, clean and well kept park. Staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Sites vary in size from one area of park to another. Very quiet but does offer activities on the weekends. We stayed here for a month.

We had stayed here many times when traveling to the area on business. It rather feels like coming home to us. The sites are treed level and reasonably spacious. The laundromat is small but clean and functional. The staff is just as considerate and friendly as you could ask for. They're also very accommodating about reservations when you're not sure how long you're staying.

Stuck out in a field with not 1 tree for shade. Lots of trees in other areas of campground. I wish I had been told this prior to making reservations - I never would have stayed here.

| Great time, great price, great neighbors and great little band on Saturday night!

This is a older campground with lots of permanent guest...and I don't blame them for staying as long as they can. We stayed in site #20 for 4 nights and the entire time was great. 11pm and all was quite for a great nights sleep, but plenty to do until then...Staff, neighbors everyone was really great even got to meet a family of six owl's in the patch of trees next to our site. On Saturday evening from 8 until 11 we were entertained by a great little 3 piece band that we hope to get back to hear again and this want be the only reason we will return before the end of the season. We had a great time...Thank you, Bobby and Siggy

My wife and I loved the campground its located in a beautiful section of the blue ridge mountains. You are close to waynesboro so if you need aomething the office doesnt have its not far away. It is an older site but very well kept and the Staff are freaking amazing. So helpful for us RV noobs! Only complaint is ths sites where we were at pull thrus near office had a lot of traffic. But it was a great spot for being close to the showers and laundry room.

We stayed 3 nights at the end of March. There is a small store and lounge area where we checked in. No campground map given as a handout, so no directions to get to our site, other than a general go that way to find your site. However, given that the person who checked us in was new to the job, I don t hold any of this against the campground. I later met Lucy, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. And the whole time we were here, they were working hard to get the campground ready for spring. Our site was a pull thru, FHU, 50AMP and was crushed stone and fairly level. It had a new picnic table and fire ring and almost all the sites I noticed are nestled in the woods. However, in our case we were able to get satellite TV, and for us, T-Mobile had 3/4 bars w/data so our Hot Spot worked fine. I m not sure if they have Wi-Fi or not, at least we weren t notified either way and with T-Mobile decent, we didn t need Wi-Fi. From what I could tell, there are lots of people living in the campground, both full time and seasonal. No propane refill service here. Also, our power pole did not have a circuit breaker. Just plug it in. The water flow was very low, but okay. Our pull-thru site had plenty of room for our 39 foot rig and two vehicles. No road noise from 340, but some train noise. I would stay again.
