Reviews for Western Star RV Ranch

| Friendly service

The owners are very welcoming and the office is beautiful. Well decorated and inviting. The spaces are very level and nicely maintained. A lot of love has gone into this place. I'm a city girl so the so the surrounding farm land made me twist my nose a bit.

| Cute but close

Nice park but getting a site may be a little difficult. There are 5 rows with 6 sites each and the side row of about 8. A lot of full timers so you have to hunt between them to find a site. No official dog area but lots of grass around the sides. Address may be difficult as older gps lists road 7 as road 3 (city changed it. About 3-5 miles north east of Liberal on 54. -one star because of the drowning noise to the east that can be heard inside and outside all night.

Nancy was very friendly. Place is very clean and nice big pull thru sites. They have an inside hot tub, that was wonderful. It rained all night and we had to put truck in 4 wheel drive to get out of road to get back on 54. Train blew whistle in middle of night that woke us up. That's the only draw back. Will definitely stay again.

Might have been alright had I wanted to stay in an open gravel lot with no trees or windbreaks. 3 stars because they have fantastic potential! I pulled in at around 1400L on a Saturday and saw that the office isn't manned till 1700L. I prefer to touch base with someone so I left. The buildings look well maintained from the outside and there's a lovely concrete walking path dotted with benches. Very welcoming. So give it a try and leave a review. I may stay next time. I just wasn't comfortable staying this time.

| Not Bad, Not Great

Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. There are two bathroom/shower combos. We thought they needed a good cleaning, but everything worked fine. All gravel lots, as mentioned by other reviewers, so wind and rain could be a problem...neither of which were present on our stay. You will hear noise from Hwy 54, trains, farm equipment and coyotes...none of which bothered me. $32. Owner is present only from 5-9 pm.

Very clean and well run campground. All the utilities work great and the owner is very accommodating. Park is basic but easy in and out.

Super easy access pull thru sites for big rigs. Owner was very friendly. Not really a campground atmosphere, but perfect for a night or two.

| A great overnight spot

This is a very good spot to pull in for a night or two. Just a large gravel parking lot with FHU at each site. Very clean laundry and bath house. Some long term residents but everything was clean and in tip top shape. Some noise from a highway and railroad but not excessive. Would definitely stay again. I gave it four stars because it was so clean and well kept.
