Nice enough park but NO wifi or internet. Don't advertise it if you don't have it. Stayed here in a 36ft class a.
Right off I-35. Arrived on a warm February day when snow had all melted making for messy roads. Friendly staff. Easy to park 5th wheel. Quiet. Bathrooms old but clean. RV sites close together. No water available until later in spring. Looked like a pretty park below our spot. $25. Stayed 1 night.
Stopped for the night on our way home (to Tomah WI) in mid-March. Host was very nice and park is very clean. Full hook-ups even this time of the year. We plan to make this our annual stop!
I made reservations here because it is close to Ames (the only reason for one star). To start, trying to confirm reservations is impossible. There is no answer when calling and no return calls. No one in office when arriving, the list of reservation on door was from day before. Owners were partying in the back of park and drove up on four wheeler with drink in hand. Told us to go into a spot where there was a trailer. Finally got us into a spot. The park is unclean, the bathrooms were disgusting, the fire pit had garbage in it, the front of the park had junk piled up, and the sites are no level due to poor maintenance. To top it off, we were at at a site where they had just dug up something and just left the dirt piled (on hookup side) and they had a vent pipe there about one foot off the ground so when hooking up the smell was awful. Although the location was convenient for us, I would rather drive and hour to Ames from another park than stay here again.
We stayed for a month to visit our daughter and grandson. I love the park and my grandson had a ball playing with the kids. The dogs loved it too. This is our second stay and I hope to be able to stay 2 months next spring.
Nice host at check in and convenient next to the highway, but it was very wet. Lots on mud and boggy. I think it would have been fine if it hadn t rained for several days.
