Whispering Oaks is located at 2773 Sunny Side Road, Greenville, NC. It has full hook ups, fire pits, pets welcome. The owners have 2 female dogs if their own that are friendly and play well with other dogs. This is a small peaceful RV/campground in a country setting. It is about 15 minutes to Greenville and only 1/2 mile from Bradford Creek public golf course. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We will stay here again and highly recommend Whispering Oaks RV Park. Steve & Julien Bokor

| Excellent Park Close to Greenville

We were looking for a park that had shade trees as the weather forecast predicted unbearably hot temperatures. We had stayed here several years ago and knew about the trees. With one phone call with a very pleasant ending, we had the site reserved. We arrived and was led to our site. Check in was at the site. Sites are sand/gravel. Some are in the open, some are shaded. There is lots of grass in the park to walk our dog. Close to Greenville with lots of restaurants and shopping. Verizon cell service was excellent and OTA TV reception was good. The only issue we had, and this was our fault, our Direct TV dish would not receive because of the trees. There was a hole through the trees several feet toward the rear of our site. If we had parked in that area, we think we would have had a shot. But we were not here to watch TV as we would be away from the campground during the day visiting family in the area. We would stay here again and are very grateful for the opportunity to stay at a wonderful park. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Our very first time camping and the owners at Whispering Oaks were so helpful and offered any Help we might need. It was quiet and clean and close to town of Greenville. If we go back to Greenville, this will be our regular Camping spot. Thanks Whispering Oaks Owners

I have to respond to the "Clarity" comments. As a full time RVer I am well aware some parks do not allow fences which is why one of the first questions that we ask is if the fence is allowed. There is a ramp into our rv as both myself and my brother with whom we were visiting are disabled and the ramp along with the hand rail are needed. We never shared a "cold beer" with the owner of the park over any causal conversation. My basset hound is not 112 years old nor at 65 lbs is she 50 pounds over weight. The owner in fact did say that he would put his dog down if it meant he would have to move. The owner also claimed our 2 feet high fence made his park look trashy. We did sign his rules and regulations at check in which did not state no fences were allowed. We would have not made a reservation with this park or any other park that does not allow fences. It is not that big of a deal to find a park that does allow fences. However, we are perfectly happy at a nice campground down the road that is "pet friendly" and allows my ramp due to my arthritis. My rv drama in North Carolina is now over. Thank you.

| Want-to-be campground

This is not a resort it is a family's backyard. We called to make reservations and were told not to arrive until 4 PM because no one would be there until then. We arrived a few minutes early and were waiting and at 4:15 called them back and the man was just leaving work we waited another 20 minutes for him to arrive then he took us to our site. This was very inconvenient as we had made plans to be somewhere at five. We couldn't cancel because he had told us on the phone if we canceled we would be charged for the night. The water hook up is 8 inches in the ground in a dark muddy hole. They provided an extension cord for the electricity rather than being able to hook up directly to an electrical outlet. We were also required to sign a waiver for parking under a tree in case a branch damaged our camper that they were not responsible. The campsite was pretty and shaded. The man was friendly and polite. However we would not stay here again unless absolutely necessary. We also felt it was very overpriced for what we got. We paid $50 basically to sleep somewhere overnight. We have stayed at a nice resort with everything provided on the beach for $55 a night.

Loved this place. No amenities other than peace, quiet, trees, a little pond, and of course, FHUs. Near town yet it has a country feel. Large campsites.
