Whispering Pines RV Park

We we re on our way back from St Augustine Old Town , my husband just mentioned that he would like to see Silver Springs. I checked for a place to stay near the Park and was refused because we had THREE Shih Tzus, they only allow two dogs. We have never encountered that before, our dogs total weight together is 36 lbs. Then we decided we would spend the night at Walmart but it was going to be a long stay without a safe place to walk the dogs. This place had popped up on my search but the low price scared me but it was a Good Sams Place, so we booked for 2 nights. We did have to travel down a small dirt road and at this point my husband wanted to head back to Walmart. I m over being in a RV without the slide and said go on but if we hear dueling banjos, we leave ! The person who checked us in was filling in for the owner and lived in the Park, very nice lady, the owners husband showed us our spot which happen to be near the very clean bathrooms and showers. Yes many people lived there, it was full of snowbirds BUT they we re very welcoming to us (probably because they came to see our dogs), dogs gets you friends everywhere. One invited us to the Wednesday night Bingo, we have never played Bingo since children. We went and had a blast and won $6.00! We would stay again if we we re in that area, no frills place but we found the people nice.
