If you want NO traffic noise, NO lights from the highway, large rv sites, and wonderful hosts---this is your place to stay...It is down a dirt road; however the road is firmly packed...we had no problems with our 40' motorhome towing a jeep! Close to Bryce...we will stay here again.

We stayed for one night. You have to drive a 1,5 mile dirt road to reach the campground. Our RV is winterized so we were looking for a lot with restrooms. There are no picnic tables, fire places or restrooms. RV Parky said there were. The host asked $30 after one night. We told him the place wasn't worth it and his only argument was that he was the only one open so we had to pay. In the end we paid $20. That was reasonable.

You get what you chose. Full hookup in the middle of nowhere. Quietest campground i have ever been. Can even hear coyote at night and see the yovimpa point of bryce canyon.
If you pay cash you might get a bargain.

Best Kept Secret

This place is a wilderness ranch. Largest spots that we have ever rented with full hookups. So quiet and many acres to walk, ride bike or 4 wheel. Located in between Zion and Bryce so the view is beautiful and a chance to see wildlife. Brad went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. And can’t forget the pleasant camp host John. We’ll be back!!

Quiet, no lights, no noise, close to Bryce NP. No restrooms though! Plenty of prairie dogs, chipmunks, rabbits and more animals to see

Yes you have to travel 1.5 miles down a dirt road, but when you get there you are greeted by the owner outside by your vehicle. We didn’t even have to get out. He handed us a full bag of local maps and brochures, welcomed us warmly, directed us to the camp host who told us to pick the space of our choice (how nice to be able to decide for ourselves what view we wanted, mountains or valley, sunrise or sunset!) gave some info on the utilities and said he would come check on us shortly which he did. The spaces are easily twice the normal size, the views are really nice, the sound level is zero (no outside noise at all, just nature), prairie dogs, and rabbits every where, coyotes can be heard during the night, stars as big as coffe cups. Room to walk around and relax and enjoy. Situated between Zion and Bryce. All for $35 a night. This place is amazing.

Off the beaten path

We spent almost a month at Wilderness Ranch with our pups and loved it. The sites are huge and Brad provides the firewood. Stone fire rings worked beautifully. On about 500 acres and we walked 3 to 5 miles almost daily on the land. We saw deer, antelope and rabbits on every walk. John, the camp host was awesome. Our dogs loved him. The nights are beautiful. Before the moon comes up, there are a ton on stars and they are so bright. The nights were cool and great for sleeping with the windows open. We heard the coyotes almost every night. Half way between Bryce and Zion. The best part was no traffic noise.

Perfect spot near Bryce Canyon

Wilderness Ranch is the perfect name, you are out in the wilderness with the prairie dogs playing around you while you sip your coffee each morning in this beautiful valley . Brad was so helpful, found us the perfect spot, great neighbors, plenty of room between sites, and one day while chatting with him, an eagle flew right over our heads as if on queue! Awesome! Close to all the Canyons for day trips. We loved it, we'll be back!

Stayed here for a week in June 2019 @ $25 a day for 30 amp & $30 a day for 50 amp. This place is a hidden gem! While it does not have showers or WiFi, it has great views. The location to Zion, Bryce and other attractions are just miles away. The quietness is deafening. 20 OTA channels at best, Verizon and ATT good but not great. Owners are the best host ever!!

Stayed here last minute because we couldn't find any open RV sites closer to Bryce Canyon entrance. It turned out to be one of the best sites of our entire cross-country trip. Like being on the range. Peaceful and quiet. All those people camping at Ruby's are really missing out. Wish we had planned more time to stay longer.

We feel very lucky we were able to stay at Wilderness Ranch for a few days! It's 1.5 miles off the highway on a good gravel road. When you get to the office Brad comes out with a bag full of tourist information and accompanies you to your site. The sites are large and the views are fantastic! It's so quiet and the stars are bright. Lots of birds to watch and there are prairie dogs, jack rabbits, and chipmunks in abundance.
Very close to Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, and Panguitch Lake.
We were amazed that we were able to get over the air tv and both Verizon and AT&T phones worked.
