I actually stayed at this park overnight twice, once on my way up to Montana and once on the way back. Both times, there wasn't a soul around to pay or direct me to a site. So I picked one. A few hours later, this fella pulled up and said he was a fellow camper but "watches for late arrivals and collects the fee." He wanted to be paid in cash. I paid him the $25 fee, and I seriously doubt the city ever got their money. I think I was scammed and I should have known better. But the area is a great overnight with pretty good wifi that does not require a password.
Definitely a keeper! Spaces are well spaced apart with large grassy areas in between. Mature trees provide shade. Lake very low so no boating but beautiful to walk down to.
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. Good size spaces, green grass, great wifi, beach area was nice, people at the office/cafe were nice and friendly. The lake/reservoir was big and easy to get a boat on to. Great for kayaking. We would definitely come back here.
