| It's a busy campground

We went during the spring time. It was crowded, loud and way too busy for us. Some of the sites are just too close together. Just not our type of campground. Folks at the front gate were nice. The bathhouse was clean.

| Very nice campground

Spacious sites with hiking trails. Rented small boat for the afternoon. Staff was friendly. Could provide a little more information to guests. Didn't know where to take trash. (It's at exit.)

We stumbled upon this campground by accident, but so glad we did! The campsites are well maintained, level paved pads and roads. Plenty of campsites, clean campground, good playgrounds and awesome views of the lake especially with a nice campfire at night. We rented a pontoon and toured the lake. They had canoes and kayaks for rent, but the rental place was closed for the day. Our family of four and four legged canine companion got the most out of this way point!

This is a big and spread out camp sight. Some sights are very close and your looking at at least two other campers. This seems to be the local area. It also seems to be the hang out on weekends. One area has concrete pads. Which is a really nice area on the water. Some area sights are more secluded. Lots and lots of walking can be done at this campground. A few sights look to be permanent residents due to seeing wooded decks. These could be an eye sore but campground is so large you may not even see them. Nice store and boat launches. Unless you plan on staying 7 nights don’t plan on a water sight. That’s their rule. Maybe it’s because it is the local go to place which is understandable because it is a big beautiful body of water. I think you could pay for 7 nights and leave early because I saw one couple come in and take a water sight and only stay one night. I’m only giving 4 stars because of the 7 night rule on water lots.

The lake and park are beautiful, but we paid $60/night for a water site. Maybe the rate was inflated because we only stayed 3 nights that were available, I guess that s the risk you take if you don t make a reservation. Crowded on weekends, very quiet on weekdays. The laundry got the job done, but could use a cleaning. We enjoyed riding our bicycles around, lots of hiking trails and a tower to climb for views of the lake.
