Great park, large sites and clean everywhere. Just make your reservations online so you don't have to deal with the lady at the gate. She doesn't like anyone and doesn't seem like she wants to be here.

Great park! Great sites & sites. Scenic views of the water from almost sites, some better than others. Lots of pull throughs and back-in. A few "group" areas of sites close together where groups can camp out.
Chased out of Myrtle Beach by hurricane Florence, we found Winfield to be a great place with fantastic large waterfront sites.
Most sites were HUGE, with foliage and space between them. Other sites were small and closer together. We used an "interagency lifetime senior pass" which gave us half off the camping rate, making it $13/night. Pretty much all sites were pull through, the back ins were generous in size. Other than the lake, small beach and walking the different loops, there's not much to do on site (no hiking trails). Saw a lot of folks with boats. A canoe or kayak would be a plus (next time!). AT&T cell service, 1-2 bars LTE. Dropped and loaded toad near the dump station.
