Trains blowing their whistle pass all night long. Shaking your camper as they pass.

We have come to this place for quite a few years now and really the owners take care of this place. As far as the train goes we love it. To each their own on trains but this is a peaceful beautiful KOA and everything is kept clean here. The pool is really nice and they keep this very clean too. The owners are very nice people and very helpful .

This review is for RV Parky as there is only 1 negative response which is not accurate in my opinion. This KOA is very clean and well taken care of. There are accommodations for all types of camping. Cabins, RV's, trailers, tents and probably just sleeping on a cot under the stars. Pull-thru spots are available but try and get the spots on the upper tier if possible. (I'll describe why later....trains ) The facilities are extremely clean are probably better the your own home? There are things for the kids to do with a pool, basketball, play ground, etc.. It's conveniently located to the Dells attractions as it's probably less than a mile away. The down side is indeed the trains and their noise. It's a shame that this is located so close to a popular railway. If you are on the bottom tier of the grounds expect to be rattled throughout the night while trying to sleep. I'm guessing the top tier sites are a lot less noisy and have less vibrations from the long freight trains. (137 cars long was the record we counted) However, the trains and their noise is not a reason to give it 1 star when it's cleanliness, sites and convenience are pretty darn good. My only other complaint was at check-in. H was not the friendliest of people and even her co-worker rolled her eyes in disgust with her while we're there. What bothers me is this, if your job is customer service and greeting people upon arrival, make it enjoyable for yourself and the campers you welcoming in or find another profession. She could of had a bad day but new customers shouldn't receive any backlash of it. Well, whatever the case it is still a nice place to visit. The gentleman took us to our site and helped guide us in. When we ordered some firewood he delivered it and picked up garbage a few times a day from all the sites. Always prompt and did it with professionalism and a smile. Basically the trains are the only downside to this KOA but there is nothing the campground can do about it and it's just an unfortunate realization they are forced to contend with. They do a great job with what they have! We stayed in a 40' RV and had a back-in site and would return to try the upper tier.
