Reviews for Woodward Reservoir

| Very big

We stayed there during the memorial weekend. We never saw so much people, but we arrived late and still get space. It's a really good place and everyone got some privacy. You could do water sports and whatever you want. We would come back.

If you are into bugs, gnats, flies and bees this is for you.

| Nice beautiful lake

This is a nice place to stay but on non holiday weekends or Sunday-Thursday as this lake is used by non respectful locals who like to party and not respect quite hours nor no wake zones as they speed around the lake with jet skies. Rangers and sheriffs help with complains but you end up staying awake by loud campers anyway. But when the riff raff leave its an awesome quite lake.

This is a beautiful area to camp during the week, but stay away on the weekends when it is overrun with thousands of locals coming out to party and drink their weekend away. The park gets trashed on the weekends but is usually cleaned up by Tuesday. Spent 2 weeks here; the weekdays were wonderfully peaceful but the weekends were miserable.

Came out for the fourth of July long weekend and it was horrible. Park was at maximum capacity and should have not let more people in but it was unsafe. It took 2.5 hours just to get back in from going into town for supplies. Even though I had paided all ready. They need to seriously have additional entrance. Place has gone down:( save your money don't come on holiday weekends if you plan to relax. If you want to party all night then yes.

| Nice but noisy

We went there because it was on our way to San Francisco. It was Friday evening as we get there it was full and very noisy. Everywhere was a lot of Mexicans with spanish music. From neighbor to neighbor was very little space very tight. Do not stay at the weekend if you can. The lale was pretty and very nice to swimm. The 5$ extra cost fo the weekend is not nice in case of the noisy. RV full hook up are sold out ant the fresh blue water in directly neer by the check in gate.

| Don't come here

Ugly Park with no attendant at the front office even at 3:30 p.m. on a Tuesday. there is a sign at the front entrance that says You must pay before entering the park but there is no map of the facilities no indication if spots are available or not no instructions on how to find a campsite. Campsites in most of the areas are extremely unlevel so much so that I could not find one that allowed me to extend my slides. The best one I could find was 9 inch out of level from front to back but somewhere as much as 20 inch out of level. Most definitely would not come here again especially considering it's $35 for a ugly Park. If you're on your way to Yosemite just keep driving.

| Felt safe, great views and nice people!

My review and pictures should speak volumes about this place! Definitely a spot for winter camping! The staff, sheriff, clean bathrooms, and easy to use full hookups make the gorgeous view almost secondary. The campers here are respectful, friendly and quiet. While I've seen the reviews based on the summer time crowds, I have to say my experience is totally the opposite of the previous reviews by other campers and I think I've found my new winter home away from home!

| 1st week of December 2018

Stayed here 1st week of December for the first time for 3 days and it was beautiful. The attendants at the gate were very nice and helpful. We went during the weekday so there were plenty of spots to choose from. I don t know why but there were signs posted not to make contact with the water. It did really matter for us because the weather was too cold any way. I don t know what it s like during the weekend but during the weekday it was quiet and peaceful. We rode bikes one of the days and it seemed we had the park to ourselves.
