While it may not be the fanciest park we've ever stayed, it's a lovely spot close to Flagstaff. The owners are very nice people who love to feed the local Albert's squirrels. Also ... it's close to Camping World.

The spots were very small and we had to really haggle to get to choose our own spot. All the paths and camping spots were dirt , which made everything you touch filthy, which made our trailer filthy. The bathrooms were awful and looked as if they had not ever been remodeled since 1965. Would not recommend.

If you want a place that is luxury with caviar and prime rib, this is not it. If you want woods and friendly people and a Sizzler nearby, this is the place... That is what we needed. Had planned on one night, but decided to stay three. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Woods were awesome. Hiked and through a Frisbee. Pull thru worked for me (a beginner). We were very fortunate to have awesome neighbors.

Not well lit, no street signs, hand drawn map was hard to follow. Walking around after dark I tripped over uneven roads and ruts from inadequate runoff control. The park layout seems chaotic. Bathrooms were a 2 star-among the worst I've seen....in disrepair and cramped. No pet area. Pluses were trees and a friendly attendant. We were there for a quick overnight.

Stayed here for four nights and loved it. Staff was friendly, campsites were clean. Loved the mountain feel which was a different setting than most of the concrete RV sites we go to. Our site was dirt but level. Only have 30 amp but worked out fine.

Very friendly staff but the campgrounds could use some upgrades. The washers and dryers were expensive and took forever. Shower houses needed upgrades and cleaning.

We were going to stay in the Coconino campground but the address listed was to an administration building so Woody Mountain was nearby and we were able to get a spot from the helpful gentleman checking us in. It is forested, close to town and all things nearby so it made for a pleasant, uncomplicated stay.

Stayed here twice and have enjoyed both stays. The trees give you the feeling if getting away from the everyday life. The campsites are dirt parking but mostly level for set up. The prices are fair and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food served at the store cafe was very good. Definitely recommend for a get away and will be returning.

Nothing fancy and the laundry was priced a bit higher than most but wonderful owners, nice landscape and playground. We would definitely stay there again if in flagstaff.

Nice wooded campground. Pull-thru easily handled our 40' 5th. Gave it a 4 star because it only has 30 amp. Price of $40 per night is a little high for only 30 A. Stayed there on 3/23/16. Nhcowan.

Flagstaff is an old Indian word meaning unlevel camp sites. You will likely have this issue every where in Flagstaff based on several stays on my part. This CG is OK, but high priced for 30 amp imo. On the other hand I will likely stay here again when traveling thru Flagstaff. Friendly staff.

So we didn't have a reservation and needed to find a tent spot fast as many of the other camping options were booked. This place was better for RV camping but we got choice of many tent spots. The spots themselves were pretty small compared to other camp grounds. very close to each other. But well marked spots. The bathroom facilities could have been better. They required a code to get in and were ok. Nothing special. The bathroom building looked like all the other buildings so I would suggest they either paint it differently then the cabins or get better signs... At night it was hard to see the difference. The wifi option probably was only available in cabins but we were close enough to town that we got a cell signal. Traffic in the area was loud and we could hear cars on the road a lot. Even an ice-cream man.

We arrived at the campground shortly after nightfall. The office was closed but there was a map with our name and site number. The map was poorly drawn trying to follow it in the dark almost led us into a pile of boulders. I finally had to get out and walk with a flashlight to find it. When I did find it, the site had two piles of jagged rocks in the middle. By this time, we were so frustrated we left. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, especially if you show up after closing!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very positive. Right on US 66. Close to local attractions. Site #38. Large, mostly level site. All roads and sites are gravel. Wooded, shady sites. Our site was "20 Amp" electric. Voltage was low. We did not use showers or laundry.

Campground was very nice. Pull thru sites were adequate. Didn't use laundry or bathrooms. WiFi was fast. Couldn't get satellite coverage because of the trees but the over the air signal was pretty good but channel limited. It was cold when we were there. Had snow flurries one morning and it froze both nights. People at the desk were very nice. Would stay here again.

We stayed here the last week of April 2018. This is a nice, tall pine wooded campground with all different size sites, all dirt. Ours was a bit narrow but the ones to either side of us were not. We didn't mind as it was plenty wide. We were in pull-through site A49, which was fairly level. We had FHU, Wi-Fi and picnic table. OTA channels were pretty good. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and pleasant. The campground at night is quiet except for many trains. They are not loud nor did they toot their horns but we could hear them frequently. Not a problem for us. They have laundry but we did not visit. They also have a market and sell beer. There is a lot to do in the area. We visited the Petrified Forest NP/Painted Desert, Grand Canyon NP, Meteor Crater and Winslow. AZ. We would stay here again.

Okay park, staff in office were fairly clueless but polite. Bathhouse was old but useable. No wifi or cable. Quite a bit of train noise at my site. Charged $47 for a weekend night of electric and water only. Absolutely not worth the price in my opinion.

As far as campgrounds go we found this one to be fabulous. I don t walk in the dark, so I wouldn t know about that part. I think it might be new ownership. Cleaned up from last year and that wasn t bad. Easy access off the freeway. They have to haul every drop of water in, so ask to conserve water. Greatest place on our latest trip of over 4K miles.

We stayed at Woody Mountain Campground back in July during the bad rainy season and loved every minute of it and can not wait until we come back.

Campground in under new ownership in the last year and they are working very hard to upgrade an older park. New washers/dryers at a reasonable price. Owners very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast burritos (as good as the #1 place in Yuma)!

The reception is really great and that is where you start your experience. The site are well shaded and big enough. My only comment would be that the site would be better levelled. I did not necessarily experience this but I have observed some major levelling from the users. Also a few hooks in the showers would be nice.

Hosts were helpful. Facilities nice. Our stay was early in the season We found the camp to be especially accommodating

Perfect location, close to everything. Staff is so friendly and ready to help! Although is in the city, you really feel like you are in the woods!

This place is amazing! Clean and in the woods! Our dog really enjoyed it! Highly recommend it!

This RV campground is pretty nice. You camp among the pines but they really squeeze you in. We weren t able to open our awning all the because we were so close to trees and our neighbors. Also, pet areas are lacking. No fenced in areas. The trash was overflowing when we left as well. However, the staff is nice, the lobby is well kept and the breakfast burritos were great!

A nice welcome and a sop to get milk etc. Close to the town center about 2 miles. Very peaceful. Stayed 2 nights.
By user-5918728... on 2019-08-09.
My overall impression of this park was positive but I have to give a negative view of the showers. They were disgusting. The cubicle doors were insecure, the tiles were loose underfoot as you entered the cubicles. The interior of the shower had ingrained brown staining. The only bonus was the water worked.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
The spaces are large and have full service, including water, 30 amp power, and sewer. The feeling is like spending a night in the woods. There are shower and restrooms available, other amenities. There are some issues to be aware of, like the spaces are not particularly level. The restrooms and showers are not centrally located. The power is restricted to 30 amps. The road are quite narrow. The sewer connection may well be far away from where the coach is best parked. the highway access is very bumpy and seriously needs some improvement. In short, it was an OKAY overnight stop, but I wouldn t stay long. The people were very nice and helpful.
