Very nice county park beautiful forest setting. Very quiet and well maintained. Park Ranger and staff are very nice
My GPS would only find the park using Des Moines as the city. Watch out for the mosquitoes they are very aggressive. Double check for the senior rate I did not find it until after I deposited my money and lost the discount
My son and I stayed here for 4 days. Nice place. Easy to get into site with our 28 foot class C. Level site with lots of shade. Really nice bath house. Water from fresh water spigot was kind of smelly. But only used it to do dishes and brush teeth. Pricing confusing. I paid $23 per night plus $4 for processing on line. Only few sites reserveable. Walk up price is $20. Guess you pay for convenience. Will definitely come back.
