Reviews for Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park

| Close to Zion NP

By user-5866688... on 2018-06-27.

The closest RV camp with full hookups to Zion NP. Yes they have WiFi and yes it is very slow. 80% of the time we could not get a working connection to last for more than five minutes. Sites are crammed together. An OK place to park your rig but don't plan to spend much time at your campsite.

This place has the best facilities and views. Loved it here!

| Great location.

Location is conveniently located next to Zion. There is not much privacy between campsites but we did have full hookup amenities as well as showers and flushing toilets. The bathrooms were not always tidy but the updated showers were. The kids did utilize the pool just make sure to bring your own towels. Laundry facilities available but we did not utilize. If you cannot find a campsite within Zion, I would recommend this location.

| Nice campground

Great campground just outside the park. Mostly sunny sites but a few full shade. Park shuttle near the campground but sometimes it is faster to hike to the park entrance (1/4 mile). Has a pool, but never used it.

| Good option

If you can't get a place in Zion, this place is a good option, but there are not a lot of large spots. We are only 40' and had few options when we got there (two the first time, one the second). Power and water was fine, but Wi-Fi was spotty. Very close to Zion park which was gorgeous. The town was nice too, but be warned most places close at 9 (we found a Thai place that could do a to go order at 10) so no midnight dining. Showers take tokens that last only 6 minutes. Riverside spots have no sewer, but there is a dump station. They also have a laundromat, but we didn't use it.

Nice Park just at the entrance of Zion. Nice Office which also serves the Hotel on the ground. Pool looks nice Even though we were not in. Price for rv + one adult and two children was 51$+ tax.

Wonderful stay, nice tree shaded spaces fresh breeze in morning, Full Hook Ups, Table & Fire Ring, Grandkids played in the Virgin River with inter tubes at back of campground, had a blast! It is a must to go early into the park to beat the crowds! Left by 6:00am - crowds getting bad by 11:00am! Bathrooms very nice & clean, water pressure low but Hey, I'm camping! WiFi was pretty much useless - TV ok BUT NOT HERE TO STAY IN THE COACH!

We stayed 2 nites while visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Park was clean and very busy. They don't take reservations, its a first come basis. Electrical, water supply were excellent. Internet was adequate. We paid $39 a nite. No recycle bins otherwise it was nice. Everybody here was in and out to see the parks. Front lobby staff were friendly. We use our own bath and shower, baths looked adequate and clean, just get a lot of use. Park basically near the Zion entrance and you have a fantastic view were ever you are, in the campground

Showed up without reservation at 6.30pm, and there was still a spot available for us. Although not cheap, its location is ideal to explore the beautiful Zion NP and all amenities and services are available on the campground. Would certainly stay again.

| Convenient

By user-5791704... on 2018-06-27.

Closest RV park to Zion - walking distance to visitors center. Free shuttle to Zion & Springdale. Park crowded but quiet. Tight spaces for larger RVs. Good cable tv . Spotty WiFi. Reservation system is a pain.

It's a very nice park. Only a couple of things I did not like. One is you cannot request a specific site no matter how early you reserve. Two is the Internet is subpar. It literally shuts down after 7:00pm. Third thing is there are trees which may make it difficult for slide outs and or satellite reception.

| Great

By user-5793224... on 2018-06-27.

Well laid out. Big sites. Pool for RVers as well as hotel guests- what's not to love. Plenty of toilets and showers. Virgin river that the bottom. Only prob is some city shuttle busses are full by the time they get there. Bah. Walk to Zion. It's like 7 minutes. Highly recommended

Closest to the park. Take shuttle to the park, then board park shuttle. Sites are gravel and not level. One fire pit and table per site. Bathrooms are clean. We had a full hookup, all worked well. Wi-fi was good. Quiet, with a few trees. Staff was friendly. Pricey for what you get.

| Wonderful Spot

So beautiful and perfect location just outside the gates of Zion NP. Love the trees, views and river setting. Since it was late in the season one of the rest room/shower buildings were closed, but the one seemed adequate for the park with reduced visitors. The showers use tokens which were ok. Wifi worked great. We had full hookups and paid 49$ per night plus tax. Pool is closed for the winter.

| Great spot close to Zion NP

We were very pleased with this campground. As it is very early in the season the campground was mostly empty. This helped us have awesome WiFi! We chose a spot right along the Virgin River which runs through Zion NP. The sounds of the water babbling by our spacious site was lovely. Contrary to other reviews, our site was level and more than adequate for our needs and included cable, water and electricity. The restrooms and showers were clean and renovated. Staff was friendly and the location is as close as you can get to ZNP without being in the park (the river flows from the park). We would absolutely stay here again!

Campground very crowded. Your are right on your neighbors. Small pool. Very convenient to NP

This is a very well run park. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms and showers. We had a small problem and it was taken care of with in 15 minutes by maintenance people. Very close to Zion visitors center(walk in less then 10 minutes) or take a free bus right outside park.

Walking distance to park entrance (also shuttle stop right out front). Sweet views of the watchman. Fire pits with grills. Recycling. Only complaint would be about the bright street lamp in one corner of the lot, which sort of spoils the mood a bit when sitting by the fire and blocks out the stars.

| 3 night stay in May

By user-5599253... on 2019-08-09.

Very good RV park. Paved roads....but not all sites have enough gravel down.... after 2 nights with heavy rain ours became a mud pit as well some adjacent sites (only negative but 1 star deduct - easily fixed if they want to do it). Bathrooms are very good. Toilet room separate from shower room. Shower requires provided token for a 6 minute shower... plenty of hot water. No seat within shower stall for dressing. Very good laundry...$2 for washers, $2 for dryers. Biggest plus is location, location and location...short walk to visitor's center or take shuttle from stop at RV park ... shuttle runs into town for shopping...you can only buy wine and liquor at state store at switchback restaurant/ store. Several good restaurants within short walk.

| Amazing location but spaces are tight

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-05-29 to 2019-06-01

Amazing location. You can pretty much walk or bike anywhere. Small grocery store across the street as well as many resturants within walking distance. The park entrance is a half mile away. There is a shuttle that runs around town which is free and picks up right in front of the campground. The camp sites are tight. I would recommend the sites that back up to the river, those seem to have a little bit more space. The sites are mostly dirt so be prepared for lots of dust. The bathrooms are clean and have lots of hot water. Each shower takes a token that allows for 6 mins. There is no benches in the shower area do being something that can hang to hold your items. Would stay again.

| Rather expensive but good

+ This place is great. Good amenities. Super friendly staff. Very close to the park (walking distance) - wifi not working at times, rather expensive

Right on the Virgin river. Walk to town for excursions or play in the river next to the camp. My kids loved having the river so close. Bring inner tubes or floats to play on the river otherwise you have to buy overpriced ones at the store.
