One of the best campgrounds that we have stayed at. Very kid friendly with a lot of amenities. A beautiful pool that came as a surprise because for once the picture matched reality. You won't be disappointed.

| It was OK

It was nice being walking distance from the ocean. The pool was pretty nice. We stayed in the campground. Our first site was so tiny we could not fit both our 28ft travel trailer and SUV. The second site we got was still small but average. The bathrooms were new and clean. The showers were new, but not that clean. I was the only one showering and the hot water ran out in the middle of my shower.

| Great weekend getaway

We stayed here last weekend and it was at full capacity. When we pulled in, I was expecting it to be noisy and overcrowded, but was pleasantly surprised. Make your reservations early, we could only get a water and electricity corner site 3 weeks out. Great beach access. Do yourself a favor and walk out to the beach after dark, it was great to be on the beach with absolutely no outside lights. Highly recommended.

Stayed five nights on an oceanfront site. Very friendly staff, clean campground, large pool, and great on site restaurant. A little pricey for FHU sites which don't have concrete pads, but sites are level and we'll maintained. Only issue during our stay was poor cable and WiFi signals.

Stayed here for almost 3 weeks in April. We had a level gravel patio site with chairs, a patio table, a picnic table and full hookups. Lots of digital and analog cable TV stations. Easy walking distance to the ocean and miles of sandy beach, or Pamlico Sound across the Highway. Huge pool, hot tub, playground, jumping pads and fenced dog park. Two very well set up laundry rooms, super clean washrooms around the park, well stocked store, dog bath at the central washroom. Outdoor sand showers at both dune crossings. On site is Shielas Carolina Kitchen, open Wednesday to Sunday, so if you wish take out, it's right there. Easy drive to historic villages and some cool unique shops and historic sights. Surfing and kite surfing right on the beach or the Sound, surf fishing on the beach, easy cycling in and around the campground. If you don't feel like leaving the park, there's lots to do. A little expensive? Yep, but like anything in life, you get what you pay for. This is one of the best KOA'S we have stayed at, and we will be back.
