We have driven the short distance from our home to this park when we wanted to get away for a short camping outing several times over the last few years. It is a beautiful park well maintained and nestled among trees on gorgeous Lake Ouachita. Very popular, you usually need to make reservations well in advance to assure you get the most desirable sites. Great for longer stays. Run by state park system it is clean with sparkling restrooms and showers. Nearby activities include boating, fishing, hiking and picnicking.

Huge lake. Swimming beach, nice camping spots, beautiful cabins, pedal boats, fresh-water springs. Lots of island in the lake you can boat out to and stay on as long as you wish. Close to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Hot Springs Village. What's not to like?

This is an exceptional State Park in the Arkansas park system. The sites in one area are large enough for just about any size RV and there is a lot of space between sites. All sites except one are back ins, but easy to get into. The park including the rest room/showers were spotless. The park staff and park hosts were super friendly and helpful. There are many tourists spots within a hour drive including the hot spot of Hot Springs, Lake Hamilton, Lake Catherine, rock hound paradise, hiking, great eateries and the list goes on. Reservations are suggested especially in summer and fall due to the amazing fall foliage. Definitely worth the trip!

Park is great. Bathrooms are the nicest that I have ever seen at any park. Brand new and heated. Views are amazing. 50 amp, water and sewer. Closest grocery store is a little bit of a drive but very nice to be far out and away. Will def be back.
